Happy Thanksgiving!

This Friday marks the final market of the season for the Knoxville FARM Market that operates at the Laurel Church of Christ at Kingston Pike and Cherokee Boulevard.  It will be open from 2 – 5 pm.

The Oak Ridge FARM Market will continue to operate on Saturdays this month.  However, after November, you will see farmers only on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays as they have products through the winter.

Here is the list of items expected at markets this week.

  • Laurel Creek Meats a wide variety/cuts available.
  • Fresh Eggs
  • Sheeps milk cheeses- several varieties
  • Plants: Ornamental cabbage, pansies & more from Betty Longworth
  • Blueberry Plants from Greenbriar Farm-Friday only
  • Christmas Wreaths:  Check with Betty Longworth or Jo Ann Wilson (cww2@att.net)  for their take on beautiful wreaths for your home.
  • VG’s Bakery: Fresh Baked Breads, Scones, Mexican Cornbread, English muffin toasting bread and cookies.
  • Hillside Bakery: Holiday Fruit, Pain au Levain, Miche & Sunny Flax Breads.   Whole Wheat Cranberry Almond Cake, five varieties of granola, Cherry-Ginger & Pumpkin Raisin Scones.  Pumpkin Walnut muffins and Gingerbread.

NOTE: Please check with individual vendors regarding pesticide-free and organic products.
