Enjoy live music and breakfast while shopping at the Farmers Market as the Jackson Square Business Association hosts Breakfast with Farmers Market beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 16th, in Historic Jackson Square, Oak Ridge .
Danny Hutchins, music director and lead back-up musician with the Charley Pride Band, will entertain while merchants offer coffee and breakfast on the square. Hutchins, who grew up in this area, plays strings and keyboard with Charley Pride, a country music recording artist who’s a member of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Muffins, fruit and yogurt, waffles (gluten free available)with strawberries and whipped cream, coffee, and breakfast-flavored ice cream will be among items offered for sale in Jackson Square , with local merchants participating. Moondollars Cafe will also be serving breakfast.
The Jackson Square Business Association will host Breakfast with the Farmers Market the third Saturday of each month July through September. The Lavender Festival is the third week in June. The Farmers Market offers plants, produce, herbs, flowers, meats, cheese, eggs and other items from local farmers.
Wonderful strawberries and beautiful greens are plentiful this month.
